The other main focus of this patch is the addition of two new vehicle types, a bevvy of weapons – both completely new and returning from the vault – and some futuristic changes to certain map POIs. You can find the full patch notes on Epic's website but we've included them below so you can identify what's new and what’s being changed. Fortnite Mega is overwhelmingly themed around Anime, so expect most of the additions to tie in.
The last major round of changes came with update 23.40 towards the end of last season where players could jump into the Fortnite Most Wanted event, enjoy fresh additions to Season 1’s reality augments system and a range of new exotic weapons that could be acquired from cold-blooded vaults.Ĭoinciding with an entirely new Fortnite Season, however, means 24.00 brings with it changes and additions that are a lot more substantial. Despite usual server downtime lasting around four hours, this update is currently live, giving us a much clearer idea of what new weapons, vehicles and map changes will be implemented to kick things off in the new season. The next major Fortnite patch, update 24.00, has been released to coincide with the arrival of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 has been fully detailed by Epic, and Fortnite’s new cyberpunk anime theme is set to drench the battle royale in all things neon.
